My Top Favourite 'White Chicks' Lines

"White Chicks" is my all-time favourite movie. Like I can never sick of watching that movie all over again.

One, because it's funny.

Two, because some of the girl stuff that they mention in the movie; I can relate it to my life.

To those who have never watch "White Chicks", it's a story about two disgraced FBI Agents, Kevin and Marcus, disguise themselves as white women in the form of Wilson sister look-alikes. They're supposed to protect Brittany and Tiffany Wilson from a kidnapping plot but since the Wilson sisters get a facial scar in a car accident, they refuse to leave the hotel due to their appearance. You guys have to watch it.

You won't regret it.

And this is a few list of my favourite lines of the movie.

1. "Has anyone ever told you, you look just like Denzel Washington? What a beautiful chocolate man!"

2. "How did you know? I love this song! *start singing A Thousand Mile by Vanessa Carlton*"

3. "Triple T, K, A. Time to totally kick ass!"

4. "Hi, I'm Cellulite Sally; look at my huge ba-donkey. Don't forget about me, I'm Backfat Betty. Now who could have said that? Oh yeah, it's Tina the Talking Tummy."

and my all-time favourite line:

"I am so.. frickin'... pissed!"

What's your? Have fun reading! xo

Communication Media Club

Communication Media Club (CMC). I still remembered going for the interview to be a part of the club with zero knowledge about what the club is all about. Thanks Farah for dragging me lol.

On Tuesday, 19th December 2017, we celebrated our big family with our final event of the year which is the CMC Graduation. It was bitter sweet. It was great to be able to celebrate all of our achievements throughout the year on that night but it was also sad as we had to bid farewell to a few of them as some of them will not be a part of this family next year.

The gorgeous ladies of CMC with our advisor Ms. Zakiah
The handsome hunks of CMC
Honestly, I have never seen a committee in a club that is so caring and loving. The love we all shared with each other is out of this world. The bond we have is unbreakable. Thank you for making my university life so much fun. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the knowledge. Thank you for the love. Thank you CMC. Thank you fam. I love you. 💋

Volunteering for the Zoo.

As you can read from the tittle, yes all of us got involved in volunteering for the animals at the zoo. It is actually part of our task in corporate communication subject which is we have to conduct an event. It can be any kind of event such as feed the homeless or play with the orphanages but we choose to volunteering for the zoo.

We went there by bus at 7 in the morning and right after we arrive we are greeted by the lovely zoo worker. She then, divided us into few groups so it is easier for us to do different job at the same time.
At the Zoo we learned how to take care of the animals, how to make them happy, and how important the clean surroundings for them. Animals need to be treated gently as they are also have feelings and seemed like they are able to understand whatever happens around them. It was very pleased to see them eating and playing around. Being a zoo volunteer is rewarding in so many aspects. Not only it is educational both from an animal care and nature perspective, we also could get to appreciate the challenges of operating and managing a wildlife facility.

It is also empowering because we know we are able to make a difference in the lives of the animals. They are already in captivity, so the very least we can do is help to improve the quality of their lives. I am also very impressed towards the workers that would able to work there since the environment is less comfortable compare to other jobs outside. Their working environment was quite uncomfortable because there is unpleasant smell caused by the animals waste and they have to encounter with difficult and heavy tasks every day.  It was very pleased to see the workers do the noble and respectable job as a zoo helper. Furthermore, the animals seemed like already recognize them and they have a very close relationship with the workers.

To be a good volunteer, we have to leave our ego at the door. We must not to think about our level of education or rank at the moment. We must have a positive attitude and plan to enjoy ourselves. We have to be prepared to encounter someone you don't know while you are dirty and in the middle of hands-on work. In fact, if we feel hesitant about volunteering, chances are, we will focus more on the negative experiences than the positive one. All of our classmate also surprisingly very supportive of each other and give a great cooperation for this event. Hands down to our Project Leader of this event, Nur Asyikin Md Zain for conducting this event very well. Even though there is some small disturbance occur she still remain calm and optimistic. All in all, big round applause for everyone!

"There's a point in life when you get tired of chasing everyone and trying to fix everything, but it's not giving up. it's realizing that you don't need certain people and their crap"

Motivation For The Day

Don't worry if things don't go the way you want it to be.
Don't stress about the small things too much.
If you can fix it, good. If you can't, make it as a lesson for the future.
Be positive.
If everyone else can do it, you can do it too!

Happy reading! xo

Surat Cinta Untuk Starla

Surat Cinta Untuk Starla - Virgoun 💘

Ku tuliskan kenangan tentang
Caraku menemukan dirimu
Tentang apa yang membuatku mudah
Berikan hatiku padamu

Takkan habis sejuta lagu
Untuk menceritakan cantikmu
'kan teramat panjang puisi
'tuk menyuratkan cinta ini

Telah habis sudah cinta ini
Tak lagi tersisa untuk dunia
Karena telah ku habiskan
Sisa cintaku hanya untukmu

Aku pernah berpikir tentang
Hidupku tanpa ada dirimu
Dapatkah lebih indah dari
Yang ku jalani sampai kini

Aku selalu bermimpi tentang
Indah hari tua bersamamu
Tetap cantik rambut panjangmu
Meskipun nanti tak hitam lagi

Bila habis sudah waktu ini
Tak lagi berpijak pada dunia
Telah aku habiskan sisa hidupku
Hanya untukmu

Dan telah habis sudah cinta ini
Tak lagi tersisa untuk dunia
Karena telah ku habiskan sisa cintaku
Hanya untukmu
Untukmu, hidup dan matiku

Bila musim berganti
Sampai waktu terhenti
Walau dunia membenci
Ku kan tetap di sini

Bila habis sudah waktu ini
Tak lagi berpijak pada dunia
Telah aku habiskan sisa hidupku
Hanya untukmu

Telah habis sudah cinta ini
Tak lagi tersisa untuk dunia
Karena telah ku habiskan sisa cintaku
Hanya untukmu

Karena telah ku habiskan sisa cintaku
Hanya untukmu

Why Charlie's Angels?

Hello world!

Today's topic will be about "Why Charlie's Angels?"

To start of, there have been a few people ask a question regarding the name of our blog. So some of you have been wondering  why we choose the name "Charlie's Angels"; like why Charlie's Angels, does it have a special meaning to us or is it because we called ourselves 'Angels' (Are we? *cough cough*)

So, the reason why we called ourselves "Charlie's Angels" is because one of our lecturer gave us that name for this one event and since then, we're still stick to that one name.

To those who think that we called ourselves "Charlie's Angels" because of our undying love for the movie (which I love it btw) or because of the total member of the "Charlie's Angels", then sorry, you're wrong.

Because we have 6 member instead of 3. Maybe we should call ourselves "Winx Club" instead.

Get it? Since it has 6 members? *krik krik krik*

Hope you have fun reading! xo

"I woke up hearing knocking on the glass. At first, I thought it was the window until I heard it come from the mirror again."

Dust yourself off and try again!

"And if at first your don't succeed, then dust yourself off and try again!"
- Aaliyah
This is a line in the song called "Try Again" by the late R&B singer, Aaliyah. We were taught to be always right or else we are considered no good. However, let's bear in mind that an expert was once a beginner and he had failed a few times before getting it right. So, you too can be an expert as long as you continue and never quit! If you fail at first and probably a few more times; then dust yourself off and try again!

Swimming with the dolphin is one of wish to my bucket list. I just want to come nose to bottle nose with one of these fascinating and intelligent animals as I am swimming with them. I want to hear those squeaky sound of joy and plays with them, it must be lots of fun!

Literature Evening.

I’ve been watching and love spoken word poetry ever since I was young and always wanted to watch one live. So when I knew that my favorite Indonesian poet, M Aan Mansyur going to perform live in Malaysia I just had to drag my best friend, Farah along with me to Fesrival Bahasa& Persuratan Melayu.

Festival Bahasa& Persuratan Melayu that for the first time organized by the Selangor State of Government and PUSTAKA which held from 7 until 10 December. I got a chance to meet Goenawan Mohamad as well as Malaysian’s well known poet, Prof Muhammad Haji Salleh which is among the special guests of the evening.  The theme of the festival is 'Yang Berani Hidup' - a reference to the poem of Chairil Anwar. The festival explores various aspects of history, experience and the use of Malay language across the ages. Not just that, it also enriching and enhancing the knowledge in good old traditions of verbal and written Melayu Nusantara Literature.

And of course, as expected Farah slept all through the show. But she did watched some of the performance from Sapardi Djoko Domono, Halina Usman and Nukila Amal before dozing off. I do feel a tiny bit guilty for always dragging her with me but sometimes, she also make me do things I don't want to do so I guess that's what friend is right? Friends complete each othe like Ying Yang and black and white. But all in all, I do feel grateful for her and all of the existence of my friends. And yes, an evening that well spend and occupied with malay literature.

Basic rules to play Ping Pong

Scoring
A match is played best 3 of 5 games (or 4/7 or 5/9). For each game, the first player to reach 11 points wins that game, however a game must be won by at least a two point margin.
A point is scored after each ball is put into play (not just when the server wins the point as in volleyball).
The edges of the table are part of the legal table surface, but not the sides.
Flow of the match
Each player serves two points in a row and then switch server. However, if a score of 10-10 is reached in any game, then each server serves only one point and then the server is switched. After each game, the players switch side of the table. In the final game (ie 5th game), the players switch side again after either player reaches 5 points.
Legal serve
The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server's side and then the opponent's side.
If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved.
Equipment
The paddle should have a red and a black side. The ball should be either orange or white and 40 mm in size. The table should be 2.74 meters long, 1.525 m wide, and 0.76 m high.

Hearts Up Babes

Feels like I want to post something like beautiful lyrics today. so, here it is, by Ariana Grande, music on guys, and sing along.

Lemme see you put your hearts up, yeah Lemme see you put your hearts up, yeah
If we give a little love, maybe we can change the world

You think you're so small
Like you're itty bitty.
Just one match in the lights of the city

Walking by strangers on the side of the street
Like a quarter in a cupp'll get 'em off on their feet, like
You think you're never gonna make your mark

Sit back and watch the world while it falls apart, like
Out of sight out of mind, like, like
It's just a waste of time,

Like, like, like
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah

Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World

Wishing on a shooting star in the sky
We can do anything if we try
Can't ressurect ghandi

Ressurect king but
If we put our heads together
We can do anything like

You don't have to be a billionare
You don't have to have
Much too show how much care

Like give a wink
Give a kiss
Like give a little happiness

Like like like
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah

Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah

If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
And get up and just love now love now
And get up and just love now love now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
Don't let em bring you down now, down now
And get up and just love now love now
And get up and just love now love now
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
I Said
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah
Hey Yeah Yeah
Sing it if you with me
All you boys and all you girls
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
Let me see you put your hearts up, yeah
If We Give A Little Love
Maybe We Can Change The World
Hey Yeah Yeah Yeah ~

How to Lose Weight

You can slim down in one day or one week, but in order to truly adopt a sustainable lifestyle and see long-term changes, give yourself time to adapt to your new routine and stay at a healthy weight range. Registered dietitian Nazirber De La Cruz, RDN, CDN, who specializes in weight management, shared her top recommendations for anyone looking to lose weight over the course of thirty days.
Set Yourself Up for Success
To lose weight, you need to make a plan. Once you’ve committed to dropping the pounds, stock up on healthy produce and create a realistic workout routine. If you’re unable to cook or won’t have time to on certain days, review your options from local food vendors and restaurants near your home or workplace to determine which meals match up with your health and weight-loss goals.
On average, you can expect to lose up to 1-2 pounds a week or 4-8 pounds per month if you adhere to a balanced meal and exercise plan. Weight loss can fluctuate and vary depending on the time of day, your metabolism, and the extent of your lifestyle changes. If you want to start an elimination diet or want to lose more than ten pounds in a month, consider speaking with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a licensed nutritionist, who can help design a program that best suits your needs or guide you through intensive behavioral therapy so you can make healthy and lasting changes.

Eat the Right Foods

De La Cruz recommends seeking out high-quality and minimally-processed foods. She emphasizes eating a diverse diet full of vegetables, protein, and starch. Choose colorful and phytonutrient-rich vegetables, which fight inflammation in the body, one of the most common issues in individuals carrying extra weight. In addition to choosing nutrient-rich foods, make sure to cut back and limit any unhealthy culprits. This often means extras such as artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, alcohol or soft drinks. Finally, remember to stay hydratedthroughout the day. De La Cruz suggests drinking “at least two liters per day, especially during the summer months.”
Prep and Log Meals
The more you plan, the more likely you’ll stick to your healthy eating routine. Save time and prepare foods that can be stored in advance, portion out servings, and look up the ingredients you may need for future meals. Make food logging as easy and accessible as possible by setting reminders for the same time each day or using the default Notes app in your smartphone or a specific app designed for journaling or meal planning. You’ll be able to notice any patterns more easily and make adjustments to your diet if necessary.
Get Sweaty
Watching what you eat is only one factor in the weight-loss equation. “Step one of my metabolism-boosting tips is incorporating high-intensity interval training (HIIT) into your routine,” says De La Cruz. With HIIT, the impact of your workouts is more important than the frequency. A good rule of thumb is to follow the American Heart Association’s recommendation of at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity for a minimum of 5 days per week. Overall, aim for at least 150 minutes or 2.5 hours of physical activity each week.
Rest and Recover
Scientific studies have correlated sleep with weight loss and the amount and quality of sleep you get can negatively impact how ghrelin, the hormone that controls appetite, is regulated in the body. De La Cruz advises at least seven hours of sleep every night to keep hunger in check.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves.

Just looking at the picture, who can tell how beautiful the Waitomo Glowworm Caves is. The Waitomo Glowworm Caves attraction is a cave located at Waitomo on the North Island of New Zealand. It is known for its population of a glowworm species called the Arachnocampa luminosa. This glowworm species can only be found exclusively in New Zealand. There is a modern visitor center at the entrance which is largely designed in wood. There are also organized tours which include a boat ride under the glowworms.

Blog Review: The Devils

The Devils official poster.
So, we the angels will be reviewing the devils' blog 👅. This blog is handled by the two handsome hunks of Unisel and the biggest Manchester United fan which are Heshvin and Navin Kumar (You can look at their handsome faces on the poster above 😉). Upon entering their blog, you will be greeted with a Manchester United logo (I mean, of course) and a red and black theme which is a feast for the eyes! I might be biased here as both colours are my favourite 😜😝. But don't be fooled and think that their blog will be full with "Manchester United-y" or footy stuffs as their posts are actually full with information regarding the states in Malaysia. Obviously the must read posts are when they share about the top 5 famous food in each states. It will make your stomach growl!

Good luck Heshvin and Navin with the blog!

So dear readers, don't forget to visit to their blog (The Devils). You won't regret it! 💗

My favorite quotes from the movie, "The Dead Poets Society Club".

The art of poetry.

For centuries, art has inspired poets and poetry as an artist. It gives lessons, ideas, and multimedia that explore creative expression and inquiry at the crossroads of poetry and visual art. These resources will motivate the students to pen poems, create visual poetry, and compare and contrast similar themes across visual art and verse. What is poetry? Poetry is literature in meter form. It is a form of written word that has pattern and rhythm and rhyme. It can be serious or it can be fun. Poetry is as creative as you if you know how to express it. Basic poetry is in verse form, called a stanza, made up of meters created by feet. The amount of lines there are in a stanza decides what type of poem is written. There can be more than one stanza to a poem and then for effect throw in a chorus and a refrain. The stanzas can have rhythm and rhyme or just be a blank verse. There this one poet that I sincerely adore who is, Sylvia Plath. She was one of the most dynamic and admired poets of the 20th century. Her depressing poem speaks to so many young girls that happened to felt the same thing that she feels and of course, including myself. By the time she took her life at the age of 30, Plath already had a following in the literary community. In the ensuing years her work attracted the attention of a multitude of readers, who saw in her singular verse an attempt to catalogue despair, violent emotion, and obsession with death. Her famous book entitled, The Bell Jar that for me was a queer and sultry for summer. I'm stupid about executions. The idea of being electrocuted makes me sick, and that's all there was to read about in the papers. It had nothing to do with me, but I couldn't help wondering what it would be like, being burned alive all along your nerves. I thought it must be the worst thing in the world. I have never read something so utterly compelling and literally could not put it down. It was quite terrifying how often I read something the narrator thought or felt and found myself thinking, "I know exactly what you mean. “In the New York Times Book Review, Joyce Carol Oates described Plath as “one of the most celebrated and controversial of postwar poets writing in English.” What I like the most about her is she let her writing express elemental forces and primeval fears. In doing so, she laid bare the contradictions that tore apart appearance and hinted at some of the tensions hovering just beneath the surface of the way of life in the post war period. With this it can affect humans and at once it can affect the society as well. There is this quote from one of my favorite movie, Dead Poet Society which is, we don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are the members of human race. It shows that this affects us in a very emotional and psychological way, and for me that is much more important to us, as a member of society.

Sofia Carson - Why Don't I

I've never been one
To step out of my comfort zone
Whenever I try
I'm afraid to just let go

Don't know why I run
Don't know why I hide
Never let them know
What I feel inside

Don't know why I'm scared
Just to take a chance
While I'm just standing here

Like a bird, I'm free to fly
Spread my wings and find my light
Like a bird, I'm up so high
Out of the cage, it's my time to shine
Like a bird, I'm free to fly
So tell me, tell me
Why don't I?

I've never been one
To break free
'Cause I've always cared
What everyone thinks of me

Don't know why I run
Don't know why I hide
Never let them know what I feel inside
I don't want to settle, don't want to run
This is not where I belong

Like a bird (yeah), I'm free to fly
Spread my wings and find my light
Like a bird (like a bird), I'm up so high (so high)
Out of the cage, it's my time to shine (it's my time to shine)
Like a bird, I'm free to fly
So tell me, tell me
Why don't I?

So u guys must be wonder why i post this lyrics right? I love this song and the meanings. Its say you have to take a risk to do something you like. Don't let anyone bring you down and just keep on trying. Don't run away for something you like and you don't have to be afraid of what everyone think of you.

You just have to spread the wings and fly high!

3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and eggs to a medium sized bowl and combine.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat until well combined.
5. Slowly add the hot water to the batter and mix on low speed until well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make sure everything is well combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 29-32 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Remove cake from oven and allow to cool.
8. To make the frosting, combine the butter and shortening in a large mixer bowl and mix until smooth.
9. Add 2 cups of powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
10. Add the vanilla extract and 3 tablespoons of water or milk and mix until smooth.
11. Add remaining powdered sugar and cocoa and mix until smooth.
12. Add remaining water or milk as needed and mix until smooth, keeping an eye on the consistency of the frosting so it doesn’t get too thin.
13. Beat frosting on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until it has lightened in color and gotten fluffy.
14. Spread frosting evenly onto the cake. Top with sprinkles, if desired.
