This story happened when my mom just went out and I was all alone at home. Mind you, it was during the day, hence it was still bright outside, so staying alone at home is not a scary thing at all. I was sitting at the table, in front of my laptop while watching a movie when suddenly…

I smelled something really…fragrant! I got shivers up my spine. The smell was so strong!

“Oh no no. Not now, please,” that was all on my mind. Don’t tell me you won’t feel scared if you’re all alone and you started smelling something, even if the smell is really nice! The fact that my mom just went out means that she won’t be back home soon. I wanted her home so badly! I don’t want to deal with whatever or wherever the smell was coming from. Not alone!

I gained some courage and got up from my seat. I went all around the house to check where the smell was coming from. I finally went to the living room and....

There was where the smell was coming from! It was somewhere behind the couch on the living room. However, instead of freaking out like I was a few minutes ago, I was calm.

Why was I calm? I remembered my mom told me that when you smell something fragrant, it means someone you love that has passed away is visiting you. 

I knew it was you Abah.
